Grow your own legendary “Mushroom of Immortality” at home with this Reishi Grow Kit. With simple daily care, you’ll watch Reishi form into beautiful, lacquered fruiting bodies — prized for their striking looks, rich history, and wellness traditions.
Reishi mushrooms (Ganoderma lucidum) have been treasured for thousands of years in traditional medicine, often called Lingzhi in China or the Mushroom of Immortality. They’re instantly recognizable for their varnished, reddish-brown, antler-like fruiting bodies that look as if they were sculpted from wood.
Unlike gourmet mushrooms like Shiitake or Oyster, Reishi is not typically grown for eating fresh — it’s valued for its potential health-supporting properties. Dried Reishi is commonly brewed into teas, tinctures, or powders with an earthy, slightly bitter flavor.
Growing your own allows you to experience both the fascinating visual beauty of the mushroom and the ability to harvest it for use in your own teas and wellness recipes.
Spore germination – begins at week 0.
Mycelium colonization – develops slowly over 4–6 weeks.
Primordia (antler tips) – appear around weeks 6–8 as white knobs.
Young fruiting bodies – grow into elongated, branching “antlers” by weeks 8–10.
Mature fruiting bodies – caps flatten and develop their signature shiny, red-brown varnished surface around weeks 10–12 (or longer).
Harvest – Reishi is typically harvested once fruiting bodies are fully hardened and colorful, before spore release.
